Temporary restriction of access to websites in the .BY zone from abroad

Due to a regulatory directive, a temporary restriction on access to internet resources hosted on national virtual and secure hosting platforms has been scheduled in Belarus. The restriction will only affect users attempting to access websites from outside the country.

Restriction Period

Access will be restricted during the following period:

  • Start: December 18, 2025, at 00:00
  • End: December 19, 2025, at 23:59

How It Will Work

According to the technical regulations, the operation of resources within the Republic of Belarus will remain unchanged — users with Belarusian IP addresses will be able to visit websites as usual. However, for all external traffic (users from other countries, foreign search bots, and monitoring services), access to websites will be closed on the specified dates.

Technical Consequences

The restriction may affect the correct operation of resources that use integrations with third-party foreign platforms. Potential disruptions may occur in the operation of:

  • external payment gateways;
  • analytics systems;
  • services that load data from foreign servers (maps, fonts, APIs).

Resource owners whose operations depend on interaction with foreign services should take these changes into account when planning the operation of their platforms on December 18 and 19.
